Nagaland: Enter the other world of natural beauty!   Nagaland as a state was born on 1 st  December 1963 and is located in the extreme northeast part just below Arunachal Pradesh. Kohima town is the capital of this state, while Dimapur is the largest city. The state is bordered by Assam on the West, and Manipur in the South. Nagaland, one of the seven sisters of India, is mostly covered by high-altitude mountains. It receives heavy rainfall during the months of monsoon and average rainfall, intermittently, throughout the year. This is an amazing destination for adventure-seekers and professional climbers or trekkers. The state is inhabited by 16 major tribes – Ao, Angami, Chang, Konyak, Lotha, Sumi, Chakhesang, Khiamniungan, Dimasa Kachari, Phom, Rengma, Sangtam, Yimchunger, Kuki, Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang), and Pochury as well as a number of sub-tribes.
